David B. Leeke
Certified rolfer, structural INTEGRATION specialist, CMT
My relationship with Rolfing began in 2004. I was a journeyman carpenter with a healthy yoga and gym routine and a love for snowboarding. I fractured a couple of ribs snowboarding which led me to schedule my first appointment with a local Rolfer. After that initial appointment, I was shocked at how much more torso and spinal mobility I had. After weeks of being in chronic pain, this newfound mobility felt like a precious gift. I was hooked.
In 2012, I began running and quickly found myself training for ultra trail races. Rolfing continued to be an invaluable resource in my training as I pushed my body harder and longer. I have now completed twenty-seven ultra-marathons, four 100-mile races, and a strong finish at the Western States 100 here in Northern California. Rolfing has allowed me to find my body’s fullest potential.
The first Rolfing session I had planted a seed and in 2017 I left carpentry to pursue Rolfing as a career. After a rigorous two year program, I graduated in 2019 from the Rolf Institute in Boulder Colorado and came back home to Nevada City to start my practice.
I am humbled and excited to offer Rolfing to my community. I am dedicated to the work of healing and liberating the human body from chronic injury and pain.
